John M. Yeager, Ed.D. MAPP, a nationally known consultant on strengths in schools, has over 35 years of experience as an educator, coach, professional athlete, and author. As the Director of the Center for Character Excellence at the Culver Academies, an independent secondary school in North Central Indiana, he has launched a model program on the integration of character strengths among the entire school community. He is a former faculty member of Boston University’s School of Education and senior scholar of BU’s Center for the Advancement of Ethics and Character. Mr. Yeager is currently an adjunct instructor at Duquesne University’s School of Leadership and Professional Development.
Sherri Fisher, MAPP, M.Ed, is an education management consultant, workshop facilitator, and coach specializing in creating learning, productivity, and change solutions for students of all ages, their families, and their schools. Sherri is a founder of Flourishing Schools and maintains a private education management practice, Student Flourishing. She has also written extensively for Positive Psychology News where you will find over 50 of her articles. Sherri facilitates a completely individualized approach that integrates nearly 30 years of education experience in both independent and public settings with positive psychology research-based tools.
David N. (Dave) Shearon, JD, MAPP, brings both public education policy leadership experience and more than two decades of leading Tennessee’s mandatory professional development program for lawyers to his work with Flourishing Schools on behalf of K-12 education. Dave has trained teachers on how to teach resilience to students in programs around the world, and led training sessions on SMART Strengths for K-12 superintendents in Pennsylvania and the Principal Leadership Academy of Nashville, at Vanderbilt University.
